When
tenants pay some or all of their utility costs themselves,
affordable housing owners must establish a utility allowance to
determine the net amount that a tenant pays toward rent. The utility allowance
is based on expected costs for utilities. Once established, the
owner must review the utility allowance annually. That’s where we
come in.
CBM has been providing owners of USDA-Rural Development 515 and Tax
Credit communities with utility allowance calculation services for
over 20 years. We collect and analyze the consumption and rate data
and use our proprietary programming to produce an accurate and
reliable utility allowance that meets agency requirements. Our
pricing is very competitive. Property Management clients receive
discount pricing.
